Frequently asked questions
- Does it work with all Cal.com event types?
- Yes. Conduit listens for the BOOKING_PAID webhook event, which fires whenever a payment is completed regardless of the event type — one-on-one, group, or round-robin.
- What Xero regions are supported?
- Conduit works with any Xero organisation — NZ, AU, UK, US, and global. You configure your tax type (e.g. OUTPUT2 for NZ GST, TAX001 for UK VAT) and it applies to every invoice.
- What if the Xero contact doesn't exist yet?
- Conduit creates it automatically using the name and email from the Cal.com booking. If a contact already exists with that email, Conduit matches to the existing record.
- Will Zapier do the same thing?
- Not reliably. Zapier lacks native Xero contact creation and invoice approval. You end up with draft invoices, mismatched contacts, and silent failures. Conduit is purpose-built for this one flow.
